The ukesa sunlight project is part of the British Council's Connecting Classrooms initiative; a three way partnership between primary schools across the UK and sub-Saharan Africa. In this instance, schools in the United Kingdom, Kenya and South Africa have formed a partnership. Newlands Primary School, Yateley, Hampshire, Charles Kingsley's Primary School, Eversley, Hampshire and Hawley Primary School,Blackwater, Surrey form the UK cluster.
