Plugins

Enter the Plugin Manager (Administration Interface -> Plugins).

Uninstall already installed versions of the following plugins
(if not present, skip):

• Adaptavist Advanced Search
• Adaptavist Rate Macro
• Netociety Auto Page Macro
• Customware Reporting Plugin
• Customware Scaffolding Plugin

Install the following plugins by uploading them
to Confluence.

• Adaptavist Advanced Search (1.0.4-netociety-0.2)
• Adaptavist Rate Macro (1.1.6-netociety-0.1)
• Netociety Auto Page Macro (1.0.6)
• Customware Reporting Plugin (1.3.2-netociety-0.2)
• Customware Scaffolding Plugin (2.6-dr9-SNAPSHOT-netociety-0.2)
  

Please note that we are providing custom extensions for these plugins and that the basic versions of these plugins will not work. Also please contact netoCiety in order to receive these plugins (on purchase of this solution).

Page Structure

List Ideas Page

1. In the top-level of the netoVation Space create a page called Idea Bank.
2. Once created, paste the delivered source-code of the Idea Bank-page into the site.
3. Determine the Page-Id of the Idea Bank-page.
4. Save the page.

New Idea Page

1. In the top-level of the NetoVation Space create a new Page called Action New Idea.
2. Paste the delivered source-code of the Action New Idea-page into the site.
3. Replace the parentId-parameter of the AutoPage-macro with the Page-Id of the Idea Bank-page.
4. Save the page.

Idea Forums

1. In the top-level of the NetoVation Space create a new Page called Idea Forum.
2. Paste the delivered source-code of the Idea Forum-page into the site.
3. Save the page.

Page Templates

1. Enter the Template Manager (Administration Interface -> Global Templates)
2. Create a new template called NetoVationIdea and paste the text from the NetoVationIdea-template into the form.

Extending the Application

This case study provides a very basic architectural overview of the application. Usually all rating functionality is piped through the RatingManager, so if you want to access rating data (f.e. read ratings for pages or clear ratings), you can use this class.

Additional Notes

Once the plugins and the template are installed, there might be need for additional plugins (depending on your page layout/design). These can be found in the built-in plugins directory in the administration interface. All source code referred to above will be delivered by netoCiety on purchase of the netoVation solution.

Layout

netoCiety or Adaptavist is your hosting partner
If netoCiety or Adaptavist are hosting your Website the design/layout elements can easily be implemented by netoCiety.

You use another hosting partner or host yourself
You will have to implement the design/layout yourself which will include the following steps:

1. Upload the delivered layout Backupfile in Theme Builder's "Theme Administration" area
2. Create a Space
3. Manually upload the delivered attachments (layout files) in the Space
4. Replace Apply the Layout to the Space (Administration > Choose Layout)
5. Modufy the default URLs in the CSS with the proper URLs depending on your base URL
